You could be the first point of contact and main coordinator for someone relocating to your area and help get them connected with the everyday things one might need to make living easier, such as recommending a trustworthy dry-cleaning service, lawyer, accountant, contractor, plumber, you name it! Your service could be invaluable for newcomers. You could make a profit by receiving a commission from service providers by referring clients to them, or by charging a flat rate for your service to customers. This could be a great home based business idea for mompreneurs who are familiar with their community and can build a trustworthy network of professionals to recommend to newcomers.
Home Staging Business
If you live in a booming real estate area and have a knack for interior decorating, then creating a Home Staging Business might be a great home business idea for you! A Home Staging Business owner would be in constant contact with local Real Estate Agents who are selling their clients homes which are unfurnished.
Your business would come in and set up the home with furnishings to get it ready for showing to potential buyers. This would give them an idea of what the home looks like furnished. I've been watching a lot this show called Selling New York on iTunes and they use Home Staging Businesses often for the unfurnished apartments they are trying to sell. This is a great home business idea for stay-at-home moms who want to be able to work from home and earn extra income for the family. If you have a passion for organizing (like I do!) then starting a Professional Organizing Business might be right up your ally! Thankfully these days with the internet, being an assistant doesn't necessarily mean you need to report to an office every day. You can create your own Virtual Assistant home business and help clients from the comfort of your own home computer. A Virtual Assistant performs tasks for clients with a very wide variety of duties available to offer (depending on your skill set).
Tasks can include replying to emails, scheduling business appointments, updating websites, social media posting, and even personal services like ordering flowers for a loved one, sending greeting cards and thank-you notes. The list goes on!

Dog Walking Business
A great friend of mine once had a dog walking business and she absolutely loved it! She was able to get outside, get exercise and play with cute doggies all day.
